Bridges {Project.12 || June}

   I have been excited about this theme since I first found out about Project.12. I think it is the perfect theme for my family. I have three amazing daughters from my first marriage. And I have two beautiful daughters with my husband. We don't see the older girls as much as we would like because they live in Georgia. (Hopefully we will be moving back there soon!) My husband had not seen them in 18 months due to deployment. Stone Mountain Park is near my parents' house and I knew the perfect spots! I feel like our family is best represented by this theme because the love my husband and I share is like a bridge that joins both parts of our family together. He truly loves the older girls as if they were his, and wouldn't know what to do without them. So I knew our trip home would be the perfect time for my Project.12 project for June. I also got some good shots of my parents! Which was very important to me.

   The covered bridge is a MUST SEE if you ever go to Stone Mountain. It's kind of away from the other attractions. Some of the other photos were taken at the Grist Mill. I would have loved to have gotten more, but it was super crowded that day!

As you can see, the littlest isn't a fan of photos. She likes to be behind the camera like her Mama! Can you tell I'm uncomfortable in this pic? HAHA

I am one lucky mom!

She's only THIRTEEN! What am I gonna do!?!

At eleven, she has more heart and empathy than most adults!

Love the faces! Especially Kassidy's!

Oldest and Youngest! So sweet!

Nine year old beauty! I'm tellin' ya! We are in T R O U B L E!

This is a typical Madison photo. She is in her element!

And I have to share these photos of  before and after! I can't believe how much has changed in 4 years!

Kennedy is HEEEEEERE!

  I still can't believe it! She isn't my child. I didn't carry her for months. But I was so excited I couldn't sleep! Chasity sent me a message on facebook on Friday afternoon saying she was having contractions but wasn't far enough dilated for them to keep her. She went to a restaurant then decided to come home. I ran some errands and charged my battery, getting ready to capture the birth. She messaged me at one point, I think around 8:30. All it said was "OMG this hurts." Then nothing. I knew it was too late. LOL I knew there was no way I could get all the way to Portsmouth before that baby came. I went and laid down. I was tired, but I tossed and turned. Finally at 11:30 my phone rang. The first thing out of her mouth was, "Heather, she came so fast I didn't even have a chance to call you!" And then I heard the baby crying! Such a great sound! Of course I had to run up there the next day to see little Miss Kennedy Rota Griffith! Got almost to the tunnel and then got stuck in traffic for an HOUR. I hate tunnels and bridges AND traffic. But I made it! And it was worth it! She is beautiful, and looks just like her big sister, Ava! All 6lbs 12oz of her!

AJ || Class of 2013

    I've known AJ's mom, Tricia, for a while now. I got to know her when I first moved here and started buying hair bows from her for my girls. She's pretty awesome! I posted not too long ago asking for Senior Reps. His mom messaged me asking if he could do it. He is a senior THIS year, but with some struggles his family endured, he was never able to get his Senior Photos done. I figured, why not!?! He loves his family and his many siblings and has come through for his family in some difficult times. It's the least I could do for such a great kid! Congrats on graduation, AJ! But more so on being an awesome human being!

And isn't Copper adorable y'all? Love that dog!

****I still need Senior Reps for the Class of 2014!! Message me if you are interested in FREE photos, and being featured on facebook and my blog!****
